September 22, 2020 - Received first review on  my book by artist John Hayden. Interesting analogy!

18 Napier Street reminds me of a lucian Freud painting Two Japanese Wrestlers by a Sink.. The subject of the Freud painting is almost a painted scribble of a simple object but Freuds technical ability shines like a brilliant star. Similarly, 18 Napier Street is a group of stories documenting boyhood events. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad and sometimes loving they move the reader emotionally up and down like a poker open straight. You don't know what to expect next next. Simple stories with brilliant technical ability that arouse the emotions.
